AI is not real intelligence, it’s artificial. It simply “looks” like intelligence. In reality, it’s software that scans data and returns results. The results are only as reliable as the data sources it scans. It isn’t performing true cognition. People believe it is, so they believe it’s credible. Our downfall has begun because of it. It will only get worse, as they continue to fall for the illusion that software is actually capable of thinking and feeling. It’s not real thinking. It’s summarizing pools of data, and people are equating the result to a conclusion. That’s dangerous. They see signs of consciousness or emotions, again an illusion. Its data sources reflect human thought and emotion, so its returned results sound human. It’s not actually feeling anything, but people will be convinced it is.

AI might be good at utilizing knowledge, but it will never be able to produce human wisdom, which is a matter of being; of experiencing this world firsthand and helping others to do so. In the coming years, wisdom will be needed more than ever. AI can be smart. It will never be wise.
