[English below] SERIES KHÁM PHÁ VĂN HÓA LỊCH SỬ CÙNG SAMTRIP - DINH CẬU PHÚ QUỐC Từ thế kỷ XVII, khi cư dân miền Trung đến lập nghiệp, biển dữ khiến nhiều chuyến ghe không trở về. ________________________________ DISCOVERING CULTURE & HISTORY WITH SAMTRIP – DINH CAU Since the 17th century, when settlers from Central Vietnam arrived, the sea claimed many fishing boats. On the rocky cape at Duong Dong estuary, a strange rock formation appeared, believed to be a divine sign. Locals built a shrine, named Dinh Cau, to pray for safety before each voyage. For over three centuries, the 29 steps leading up to Dinh Cau have witnessed countless generations. Inside, people worship Cau Tai, Cau Quy, and Chua Ngoc Nuong Nuong – symbols of faith for calm seas, good weather, and bountiful harvests. Every year, the Dinh Cau Festival (on the 15th–16th of the 10th lunar month) draws large crowds of locals and visitors. Beyond its sacred role, Dinh Cậu is also famed as the beautiful sunset spot in Phu Quoc, where the sky and sea glow in golden hues of romance and serenity. ________________________________ #samtrippq #DiscoverPhuQuoc #dinhcau #cautemple #phuquoc
