@news.studio2: Elizabeth Holmes Says “I Don’t Think So” When Asked If She Has Ever Told a Lie in the New Documentary In the new documentary You Can See Everything, Nathan Fielder asks Elizabeth Holmes a simple question. Has she ever told a lie in her life? Holmes, 42, was filmed in the 34 days before she began her prison sentence in Texas. The nearly three-hour film comes from Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. Early in the film, Fielder asks about her company, Theranos. He asks whether she ever misled investors into believing its technology worked when it did not. According to the report, Holmes declined to say that she had. Then he asks if she has ever told a lie. “I don’t think so,” Holmes replies. The report says the answer leaves Fielder visibly stunned. Fielder presses her on whether she has told even a white lie to get out of plans with friends. Holmes concedes she likely has. In 2022, a federal jury found Holmes guilty of conspiracy to commit wire frud against investors and three counts of wire frud, involving investments totaling more than $140 million. She was acquitted on charges tied to patients. Jurors could not reach verdicts on three other investor-related charges. She is serving an 11-year sentence. She and Sunny Balwani were ordered to pay $452 million in joint restitution. Holmes is scheduled to move to a halfway house near Austin, Texas, in August 2027.
