• The Founder: Chukwuemeka Ezeugo founded the Christian Praying Assembly in Ajao Estate, Lagos. • Legal Status & Incarceration: In January 2007, a Lagos High Court sentenced Reverend King to death by hanging for the murder of a church member, Ann Uzoh, and 20 years for attempted murder after dousing several members with petrol and setting them on fire. The Supreme Court of Nigeria affirmed his death sentence in February 2016. He has been held in government custody (including Kirikiri Prison) on death row, though executions are subject to an unofficial moratorium in Nigeria. • Surname Adoption: Some dedicated members and pastors within the church adopted "King" as a substitute for their actual surnames out of extreme devotion. • Visits and Correspondence: Loyal followers have historically maintained deep devotion, continuing to celebrate his birthdays with large newspaper advertorials

Young ones don't know the lore of this church

I watched the rev king documentary on YouTube, he set a member of his church on fire…I’m shocked the church is still in operation (if that’s the one you’re referring to sha) cause he was convicted and went to prison
