I understand your point but literally the entire game Sweet is shown to believe that he can fix the hood. he truly loves his gang and he thinks he can save them all. getting out of that is betrayal for him. I think this conversation beautifully shows how CJ, who's been out of the life for a long while and only recently got back in can detach himself from it and move on to a better future but Sweet, who's never left and is the reason (in his mind at least) that his mom died, can't let it go. CJ is objectively correct from an outsiders perspective. but Sweet is subjectively correct because he acts upon his emotions and ideals. and that's a deeply human thing to do. I find the dialogue a LITTLE too on the nose but overall I think it might actually be perfectly written because it is so human
