I honestly wouldn’t do this because you just add more years of paying and you’re still in the same cycle you’re adding more money on top of whatever you owe

if anyone in the comments is able to answer this if i owe 10 grand the car is worth 7 as is. but the car im looking at is 20k if i put in 3k to cover that does that mean when I get the car all im looking at is 20k? or is it more?

I've tried to trade my car in around our area but they didn't want the vehicle because I still owned money on it. just ended up having to voluntarily repoed because I couldn't do the payments after I was laid off.
