2020 I began my faith deconstruction from my church. After attending for 20 yrs I left. I have not been back. I have become dis-indoctrinated and on this side of things I cannot believe how I just trusted in blind faith. People can be good, kind and generous without having to go to a building and outwardly try to prove who has the most faith.

Religion was created specifically for this purpose. Control. The parallels exist because the two things are really the same thing. Government and religion require and demand the same things of constituents/parishioners. Obedience, blind faith, absolute loyalty, money.
