@thesameerproject: Do you hear that? The constant gunfire? The shelling? And they tell the world there is a ceasefire? There is no pause. No reprieve. No safety for Palestinians in Gaza. On October 11, our team visited families whose tents had been burned, leaving them without shelter once again. Even as we filmed, heavy gunfire echoed around us. This is the reality of life in Gaza. Families who have lost everything continue to live under the threat of violence, yet refuse to be driven from their land. This is what steadfastness looks like. Sumud. A determination that is difficult to comprehend unless you understand what it means to face the loss of your homeland. They have burned their shelters, destroyed their neighborhoods, and displaced them again and again. But they have not broken their connection to Palestine. They are not leaving. They are not surrendering their right to exist on their land. Help support them. The Sameer Project is one of the only organizations that delivers aid in these danger zones.
