if you can ask your doctor to prescribe a benzodiazepine of some sort, i would highly recommend! sometimes I can’t get numb without a benzo because of my anxiety. i’ve survived 3 root canals & crowns, you got this!

Oof dental pain is literally top 3 most painful things to experience. Id ask about pain management for at home. Maybe stronger medicine than over the counter.. not sure what you can take but my gf has/had a liver transplant and could still take pretty strong pain medication. Maybe they can give you something like that to take beforehand or something for anxiety thats kinda sedating. I usually get the novacane, sometimes the gas and norco for after and usually its pretty do-able. I have diagnosed anxiety, fear of the dentist and bad teeth so its definitely hard for me to go in there and i actually need to soon for more extractions 😭

if youre scared of the dentist i recommend telling them!! they could give you a pill for anxiety to take before appointments!! i recently asked and i needed a driver but i got thru my apt with nooo tears and minimal pain from the drill. i also dont get numb w the shots and the pill rlly helped me not feel the drill as bad

My wife had the same thing happen where it ended up being deeper then they thought. We had to call them back and ask for a stronger pain med because of it. You may have to do that also. I think they said pressure was building up in the tooth.

I’ve always hated the dentist and always not going and I regret it so much now because on my parents insurance, they had fantastic insurance and basically everything was covered now I’m too old to be on theirs and with my insurance I have to pay but I’m starting to get pain so I not only have to suck it up but work OT to fucking pay for it?!? It suckssssssss
