@breakinghub.com: 16-year-old who killed three children and a teacher at Silver Rail Elementary in Bend, Oregon, forced his way into a special needs classroom after failing to get through the front door. Griffin J. John II, a former special needs student at the school, climbed the fence, shot at a witness in a truck, then fired through the locked doors on the playground side and went straight into the classroom just inside. He killed three children, ages 5, 8, and 11, and 25-year-old teacher Megan Lambert. He also wounded a 7-year-old and a 54-year-old teacher. All of the victims were in that special needs classroom. He had 44 rounds left when Kaylub Giamanco, a father whose daughters attend the school, followed him inside and shot him. The Maverick 88 shotgun was purchased by his mother, Shauntai Nickerson, around his birthday in August. In 2020, when he was 10, she described him as a special needs student who struggled with remote learning. She has told reporters he was a good boy and that she saw no warning signs. Police say he was not currently enrolled in the district. Should his mother be locked up?
