@dailytimesnow: VP Constantino Chiwenga has called for a "brutal and honest self-appraisal" in ZANU-PF, questioning whether party resolutions truly come from the people. Addressing the 23rd National People's Conference in Chinhoyi before introducing President Mnangagwa, he paid tribute to the seven heroes of the 1966 Chinhoyi Battle and said ZANU-PF "belongs to the people, never to individuals." Leaders are only "temporary custodians," he said, adding in Shona: "Mazvake mazvake haana kwaanotisvitsa." He urged unity, discipline and selfless service, saying Vision 2030 must make Zimbabweans "proud citizens, not hewers of wood and drawers of water." His remarks come amid reported tensions over proposed constitutional changes on President Mnangagwa's tenure. (🔗 link in bio)
