Against Brentford, Araujo started as a makeshift right-back but was taken off after Brentford scored, and Frimpong, who replaced him, got injured almost immediately. With no right-backs left, Iraola brought on Rio Ngumoha and moved Victor Muñoz from the wing into defence. Roughly ten minutes later, Muñoz made an overlapping run that neither Araujo nor Frimpong would have made and finished a Wirtz assist to equalise. It isn't the first time either: back in September he was already playing in the defensive line under Iraola, and if it works, Araujo could move back to his natural position next to Jacquet.
