NO shadow were added. it just stopped moving WITH the ball. Shadow is ALWAYS there

The shadow changing size draws the eye. The ball moving, combined with the way our eye is locked on the shadow, makes it look so cool. To add a wrinkle, what would it look like with a consistent size shadow? Would it look…weird?
