@alpha_madevids: She Built a 160-Room Mansion to Escape Ghosts — The Winchester Mystery House 😯 (True Story). In 1884, Sarah Winchester bought an eight-room farmhouse in San Jose, California — and kept building for 38 years until her death on September 5, 1922. The house grew to 160 rooms, 10,000 windows, 2,000 doors, 47 stairways, and 47 fireplaces, with staircases into ceilings, doors onto blank walls, and the number 13 everywhere. Legend says a Boston medium told her the spirits of Winchester rifle victims haunted her and she had to keep building — but historians found no record she ever met a medium. The house is real. The ghosts were never proved. This is a true story based on verified reporting (Wikipedia, Smithsonian, SYFY). The medium story is presented as legend, as historians report it. #castle #winchester #mystery #news #ghost
