Love that and agree. I am currently self funding my second company (Caribbean/coastal stock media platform) with the profits from my first (a consulting firm). I also think self funding really helped me understand money and business better bc I came from a long corporate career.

the one thing that annoys me about vc money is that you will make exceptions for the "team". why can't Seed money be pre- revenue and traction and live product. if you will invest in pre-seed based on team, what criteria would you base investing in Seed ? investing in Team pre product market fit is a better signal for you ?
