@morganlaurenco: Magnetics in the concentrate is a huge problem in the area that I’m mining. They account for roughly 50% of the concentrates and are heavy. Because they’re so heavy they plug up tables and make the final cleaning process of the gold extremely slow. I was sent this magnet machine called a Rollie-Pollie. It has a spinning magnet bar that’s strong enough to move magnetics through my gold pan. Because gold is not magnetic it moves everything else and leaves the gold in place. This thing is so freaking cool. I can’t wait to have this next season at the mine. #gold #goldmining
