@cgtneurope: A car that can fly? Sort of. Tesla has unveiled a redesigned Roadster equipped with thrusters that allow it to make short hops through the air. The two-seat electric sports car is touted as capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in less than a second. CEO Elon Musk said the system uses an ultra-high-pressure air tank that can recharge itself, allowing the car to perform these maneuvers on demand. The demonstration featured the car without a driver on board. Nearly nine years after Tesla first unveiled plans for a next-generation Roadster, the company says production is expected to begin in 2028.
