@philipivanov353: A high (infraoccluded) canine can be brought into occlusion by engaging a continuous NiTi archwire into its bracket and the adjacent brackets, generating an extrusive force on the canine. Because the wire is continuous, this reaction is transmitted as an equal and opposite force system to the neighboring lateral incisor and first premolar, and some reciprocal movement in the form of intrusion and tipping of the adjacent teeth toward the canine should be expected, often resulting in a localized open bite or a cant of the occlusal plane, given the lack of segmental control. #orthodontics #ortho #dentistry #dental #braces
