the other day I walked past my youngest son and he scalp was yellow I said "wtf when you was your hair do you not scrub? he said no I threw his head in the sink so fast he was no expecting a deep clean and a re teach on hair and body clean with a dry cloth I didnt want to touch his head either and I birthed him

We’ve been told by the internet for years not to come in with clean hair for bleaching or even colour because you need a protective layer on your head to protect your scalp.

Okay… don’t shoot me. I have oily hair (baby fine) but I had always heard growing up to not wash it the day before but I don’t want my hairdresser hating me and thinking it’s dirty when it’s only 1 day old Does washing it the day of effect my highlights?

its fine to not come in with freshly washed that morning hair, but don't come in with week old unwashed hair 😅🤣 even if your hair doesnt get oily as quickly, its gonna be nasty by then 😅

I know this isn’t the point but like the day after I wash my hair or if I add any heat to it my hair gets super oily… does that bother stylist?? Or any suggestions on how to help with it??

I had someone ask me if dirty hair really has an odor, I told them not only does it have an odor, but that odor gets stuck to you and you smell it long after the person you have worked on has left. I don't work in a salon and everyone I work on now are family and friends, they ALL KNOW, if they come to have their hair done, it better be clean or I won't/can't touch their hair
