@harmonyhaven720: HOW TO KNOW IF YOUR MONEY IS CARRYING TOO MUCH Your bank statement can tell you where your money went. But it cannot always tell you why. It doesn't show the guilt behind the transfer. The family pressure behind the contribution. The fear behind saying yes. The need to look successful behind the purchase. Or the dream you postponed because somebody else's emergency arrived first. Dear woman, Your money may be carrying more than your bills. It may be carrying approval. Guilt. Fear. Family expectations. Everybody else's emergencies. Even the need to prove that you are a good woman. And here's a question worth asking: If I have the money, does that automatically make this mine to fund? No. Remember: Ability is not automatically assignment. Sometimes love says give. Sometimes wisdom says help differently. Sometimes stewardship says: “I can afford this, but it is not mine to carry.” And sometimes the woman who funds everybody's present is quietly neglecting her own future. Her health Savings. Development. Business. Retirement. Dreams. Stability. So before your next financial yes, ask two questions: Can I afford this? And: Even if I can afford it, is this mine to fund? Your future deserves a place in your present financial decisions. Today's question: What important part of my future keeps receiving whatever money is left? Don't answer with shame. Answer with information. Because money should serve your values, not quietly choose them for you. Before your next financial yes, ask: What is mine to do wisely with what is here? And where greater income is genuinely necessary: What can I learn, build, negotiate, change or pursue that may increase my capacity over time? That, too, is stewardship. TODAY'S CTA Don't begin today by promising yourself a perfect budget. Jot down and answer just two questions: What receives most of my unplanned money? What important part of my future repeatedly receives whatever is left? Then choose one adjustment for the next 30 days. Save this teaching and return to it before your next emotional or pressured financial yes. If you feel comfortable, complete this sentence in the comments: “One thing I want my money to support more intentionally is ______.” Your answer does not need to include an amount.
