Yes, I call it the damned if you do and damn if you don’t theory lol and that is why I never ask for help and now when they say why don’t you I’m like cause you taught me it wasn’t safe to and to do my own shit so I’m doing my own shit after you heal from that wound you tend to not give a shit what the hell they think but I do let the people that I know actually give a fuck about me help me. Kinda. When id ask for help, they'd actually try, and then they'd usually fail/do it wrong themselves and get mad and take it out on me. So id stop asking. Then they'd be mad i didnt ask.

Yes, I had to figure everything out on my own since a young age. Now, as adult, I am constantly being asked to help because they don’t know how to do things. It’s really messing with my mental health.
