@hotinjuba: WATCH: Juba City Council mayor warns security personnel against holding arrested persons in sectors for more than 24 hours The Caretaker Mayor of Juba City Council, Christopher Serafino Wani Swaka, has directed police personnel deployed in different sectors to transfer arrested persons to police stations for further legal procedures instead of keeping them in their sectors for more than 24 hours. Speaking during the weekly Saturday cleaning campaign at Nimra Talata this morning, Swaka questioned who would be held responsible if an arrested person died while being detained in a sector. “If a person dies, who will be responsible?” he asked security personnel, stressing that all arrested persons must be taken to police stations for proper follow-up and handling. He urged security personnel to follow the proper procedures and ensure that no arrested person is held in a sector for more than 24 hours. #HIJ
