I got married at 19. Going on 11 years. We have the same politics, morals, and I get to boss him around. It really was a fluke that we worked out. I have a career. I’m educated. On my 3rd degree actually. And he’s got a great career. This is like 0.1% don’t do it. Who I was at 19 is not who I am at 30. & same with him.

Honest question, when people told you 19 was too young to get married did you call them jealous? I've noticed everytime someone points out how insane it is to get married young the go to stock answer is "you're just jealous" but then they inevitably get divorced lmao

my little brother is getting married at 19 ina. few months and I'm very stressed out about it. I actually think his fiance and him are well suited for each other over all, but I'm very concerned that the ultra rapid progression of their relationship and marrying so young will damage the relationship long term, as opposed to waiting until they're both a bit more mature to get married. like I think when they move into together they're really going to struggle to adjust.

Saying that there is nothing you can do about someone’s contempt for you is basically saying you are incapable of changing for someone you love. Contempt doesn’t just happen out of nowhere and usually stems from over criticism and overlooking someone’s needs
