And, more importantly, let’s not rewrite it just because the truth makes certain people uncomfortable 😒 There’s a reason accounts like taekookupdates07 have become so bold, so comfortable, and so shameless when it comes to spreading hateful narratives about Jimin… And Taehyung has a responsibility in this. Before January 2024, this account reportedly had fewer than 2,000 followers. Then Taehyung reposted its content in less than a minute from its publication, giving it something far more valuable than a few extra likes: VISIBILITY, EXPOSURE, AND A PLATFORM. An account that was once relatively small gained thousands of followers, and with that growth came influence. Now look at what that influence is being used for: Fabricated narratives, accusations, and constant attempts to portray Jimin as the villain in a story that exists solely to validate a ship. And somehow, we’re supposed to pretend that the artist who helped amplify this account bears absolutely no responsibility? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Taehyung chose to give that account visibility. His enormous platform helped amplify its reach. And he deserves to be held accountable for that decision, especially considering what the account has become. Being an artist doesn’t automatically exempt someone from criticism or accountability. And HYBE doesn’t get a free pass either. The company has a responsibility to protect its artists from harassment, yet accounts openly targeting Jimin continue to operate with enormous audiences. WHERE IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY? And where are all those so called ARMYs who constantly preach about protecting all seven members? And what about those who call for accounts like mine to be reported, yet can’t even recognize the difference between calling out someone’s behavior and the vile hatred spread by an account like this one? Where are the lectures about respect, boundaries, and toxic fandom behavior? Why is an account with thousands of followers allowed to spread hostility toward Jimin while so many people who claim to support him remain conveniently silent? THE DOUBLE STANDARD IS DEAFENING. And here’s the most disturbing part. These are the same people who scream about boundaries and respect while refusing to extend either to Jimin. The same people who need him to play the villain in their imaginary narrative because their ship apparently cannot survive without an antagonist. A VILLAIN, A PUPPET, AND A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS.
