@ni_oiii: After the petition by Alex Seidel, Juan Pablo and Michel Nischan reached the desk of Claire Reichenbach, CEO of the @beardfoundation, we were investigated by a third-party HR firm called The Alcott Group. I explained that Juan Pablo has multiple allegations of sexual misconduct and that this entire situation began once I publicly discussed it. After the investigation, Anna and I felt really good about the situation because the Beard Foundation had undergone a huge revamp in 2020 for systemic racism. Unfortunately, it seems nothing has changed, because a few weeks later we received this letter from Claire, canceling two projects we had with the Foundation. As a Vietnamese-American, my identity has always been hyphenated, and that feeling of being other has been the lens of my worldview. My lived experiences- the racism, the microaggressions, the fear of never being accepted by white institutions- have all shaped how I navigate my life. So no, I won't shut tf up.
