@carowl_uk: Nobody tells you this stuff in driving lessons, so here's what I learned the hard way. 😅 1️⃣ Don't ride the brakes downhill: they can overheat and wear fast. Drop a gear and let the engine help. 2️⃣ A shaking steering wheel at 60mph isn't normal: it's often just unbalanced wheels, around £10–£15 a wheel to fix. 3️⃣ Never guess how deep a flood is: water sucked into the engine can wreck it, or even write the car off. If you can't tell, turn around. 4️⃣ Low revs in a high gear aren't always saving you: labouring the engine can strain the clutch and flywheel, a £1,000+ job. 5️⃣ A car left for weeks can kill its battery: a new one is often £100+. Give it a 20-minute drive once a week. 6️⃣ A click on full lock is a warning: it's often a worn CV joint, so catch it early.
