@sober.emily: know I’ve talked about this before, but I get so many questions about how my drinking got to this point, so I wanted to share it again for those who haven’t seen it. 🖤 #fyp #addictionrecovery #WeDoRecover #sobriety #rockbottom

The crazy thing is your early stages of your alcoholism is every bartender and servers “normal” lifestyle. But it’s not normal. It’s legit alcoholism.

You mentioned being in Wisconsin- with such a strong, ingrained drinking culture, it's all the much harder to get and stay sober. You have my utmost respect- keep up the good work! 🫡❤️🙏

It’s so crazy how it goes from wanting to drink with friends and have fun until it becomes embarrassing and all of a sudden you’re just alone, drunk, and empty inside…

I’ve been having issues with drinking too much lately. The scary thing is while drinking I just feel happy. I don’t realize how much I have drank until the next morning when I’m throwing up. Ive decided that I would rather be sober and not drink at all since I can’t control how much I drink anymore.

there was one night I blacked out and fell asleep on my back. I started puking in my sleep. I barely woke up in time to not drown in my own puke. did that stop me? hell no. I didn't go to rehab for another 3-4 years after that.

I don’t understand the jump from starting drinking at 16 and being the fun friend to dropping out of hs and so on. I’m very much wondering how that change happened and what was underlying that pushed it so rapidly to alcoholism

why the 30 gulps at once? efficiency? did you literally count out 30 every time?? 😳 such a specific thing & wondering what the reasoning is.
