@chriscerney: A loose emu gave Santa Cruz County deputies an unusual traffic assignment. The Sheriff's Office posted video Saturday showing deputies following the bird through a neighborhood at night. The agency says they kept the emu out of traffic long enough for its owner to collect it. The sheriff says this was a different bird from the emu involved in an earlier CHP Santa Cruz incident. The post does not identify the street or say when the encounter happened. Source and video: Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.
