The part about the days trader 2 never got in is the real lesson here. The retest gave a better price on the days it came, but the runaway breakouts were where most of the edge was, so the filter cost more than it saved.

Trader 1 trades less probable, momentum breakoutouts therefore more risk. Trader 2 trades higher probable set ups with inherently is less risk. The greater risk trade provided greater reward. I can also assure you it also had more losers, that were out weighed
