@insightwire.com: President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran had never faced such intense pressure in the 48 years since the Islamic Revolution, citing assassinations of senior figures, attacks and restrictions on maritime, air and land routes. “Never in the 48 years since the Islamic Revolution have we been under such pressure and faced such difficulties,” Pezeshkian said during a meeting of the East Azarbaijan provincial planning and development council, which he joined by video link. He said Iran was still maintaining national supplies despite the pressure and called for greater coordination to address problems across provinces and counties. Pezeshkian also said attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure had hit power plants, gas networks and factories. He said the government was determined to keep electricity, gas and industrial production running.
