@thebakerslibraryindy: 1. Wheat’s End 100% gf cafe and bakery! Everything was so good, but my favorite would be the biscuits and sausage gravy with a poached egg on top. I’ve weirdly missed the Bob Evans biscuits and gravy since getting diagnosed and this made me so happy🥹 would definitely go back! 2. Defloured Bakery 100% gf bakery! As a gluten free baker myself I was very impressed!! Everything was delicious! My favorites were the “Pucks of Love” (the ding dong dupe) the cake was so moist and tender with a delicious cream in the middle and a crunch chocolate shell on the outside. I will be dreaming of this🤩 and the lemon loaf! You say lemon and glaze and honey I’m THERE! It made me tear up seeing my celiac daughter be able to pick out a cake pop too! Will absolutely be back! 3. Chicago’s Pizza I never in my life thought I would be able to enjoy Deep dish pizza again after getting diagnosed with celiac disease, but at Chicago’s Pizza not only do they have deep dish and thin crust gf pizza, gf pasta, complimentary gf focaccia breadsticks and more, but they also have an extremely knowledgeable staff and a separate prep area, utensils/pans, fresh ingredients, a dedicated oven wrack just for gluten free, and more! I felt so safe eating here and have to say this is one of the best gluten free pizza’s I’ve ever had! The flaky crust blew me away! Favorites: EVERYTHING we tried! I’d make the 3.5 hour drive just to eat this again! 4. Vaca’s Vegan Creamery 100% vegan ice cream shop with tons of gluten free options! I about cried when I found out I could have a gluten free ice cream CONE?! I asked and they said “would you like waffle or cake?” 🥹 their baked goods are not gluten free so make sure you clarify, but so many of their ice creams can be gf and their cones! Favorites: I only tried the pumpkin soft serve in a gf waffle cone, but will definitely be trying more in the future! Thank you Chicago! Can’t wait to come back and try more! Where should I go next?
