I just use the strawberry tops; put them in a jar with some sugar and shake it a couple times a day for a few days. Then strain and you have strawberry syrup 🥰

Since you’ve used powdered milk to make your mixture wouldn’t you mix it in with water instead of milk? Wondering if that’ll make a difference in flavor

Hmmmm.. I may try this. I remember thinking I was living large when mom bought either chocolate nestle or strawberry quik back in the 70’s. A real treat!

For those confused about the powdered milk, hot cocoa mix has dried milk but most people make it with milk instead of water because it tastes better, this is the same thing.

try strawberry jello- i use that mixed with golden oreos to make strawberry shortcake crumbles and thats super strawberry flavored

I used those exact same strawberries in a cake recipe and found I had to use more to really get that strawberry flavor to stand out. The cake turned out really well with that adjustment.
