If a dog is aggressive using any adverse tool like the shock mode, prong collar, slip lead or choke chain it can cause them more anxiety and make the aggression worse

People are quick to assume shock collars automatically hurt dogs..Some collars have a beep or vibration warning before anything else happens, and they’re meant to get the dog’s attention when they aren’t responding to a command. However, that doesn’t mean every collar is harmless, because it depends on how it’s used and the type of collar. People should understand how they work before judging. 😭

This why I don’t use shock collars!! My dog that has a cat chasing problem has a collar that vibrates and makes a beeping sound. It works just as well for my dog without the needless pain

They aren’t shocking. It’s a muscle stimulator. Like a tens unit. It does not hurt especially if you’re using it at level 5 ish. The vibrate freaks dogs out more

lol they are supposed to be on a muscle. Also some are so much stronger than others. Sport dog ones are so much better and you can actually put in on yourself and be fine. The sport dog brand uses tens unit tech which is used for physical therapy! I don’t know what this one is but ouch!

my dog is like 8 lbs and we have a shock collar on her but only use the vibration setting and people get so freaked out when they see the remote thinking we are paralyzing her or something
