@hannahssentiment: My anti-burned out mom routine ✨ Listen, if you’ve been following me, you know I push myself as a full-time working mom of 4! I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves and do the hard things. I’m even happy to do it! But I also know it’s important to take time for myself where I realistically can. So as much as reasonably possible, I plan to take at least 1 hour every weekend to get out of the house and away from my needy little people to solely focus on myself however that might look. Today I journaled for the first time since I was maybe ten years old. I thought it might feel silly and was surprised when the words eased right out of me. It felt good. The crossword puzzle was humbling, but I’m nothing if not determined, so now I’ll have to keep doing those until I do get better 😅 The productive busy bee in me needed to spend some time in my Apple calendar time blocking the week ahead so I can pretend I have my life a little bit more together. Then I finished off with a little Kindle reading! I didn’t get too many pages in before Cory was calling letting me know the baby was awake and getting fussy to be fed. He could’ve given him a bottle, but I can’t let go of these special moments nursing my little guy that easily.
