@hsk_studi0: The Irwin family lost Steve nearly 20 years ago but the work he devoted his life to never stopped. When Steve Irwin passed away in 2006, Terri lost her husband, while Bindi and Robert lost their dad at just 8 and 2 years old. They grew up without him, but also surrounded by everything he had built. Terri continued running Australia Zoo and pursuing the conservation work she and Steve had shared. As Bindi and Robert grew older, they became part of that mission too. Today, both of Steve’s children work with wildlife, appear at Australia Zoo and speak openly about the influence their dad still has on their lives. Robert was only a toddler when Steve passed away. Now he’s an adult, doing the kind of work his father once became known around the world for. For the Irwins, remembering Steve has never been only about looking back. His work became something the family could carry forward.
