Without a first scan, how can they prove your rental did it? Only suits should have positive proof exactly how they gave you the car. All proof should be on rhem, they are the ones suing. Definitely cover your butt.

Before I leave and immediately after returning I always video the rental car. It saves me often. As soon as they find out I have this they stop the 🐂 💩.

I've always videod the entire vehicle inside and out before and after and had the counter person out there while doing so and yes they get in the video

I use to be a loyal Hertz frequent traveler. Once they started this crap, NEVER rented from Hertz again, even though my corporate rate is significantly lower. Why go through all this hassle? DON’T RENT FROM HERTZ!!!!!

It’s cuz hertz are using Ai to scan vehicles & won’t review it’s Ai process. They shouldn’t be using Ai for this & it’s making a lot of mistakes.

Always record, every single time. Don’t leave the parking lot. Ask for a flashlight if the lot doesn’t have good lighting. It is all a scam.
