@rebuildandrisewithawbria: When the house is completely quiet, that heavy thought creeps in. You look back at years of second chances and fighting for a home, and a cold panic tells you that your patience was just foolishness. Let us name what actually happened instead. You did not waste those years. You operated under an honorable code in a dishonorable environment. The person who dismantled your trust did not outsmart you; they simply took advantage of your capacity to endure. They weaponized your grace. Refusing to internalize their destruction is not bitterness. It is clarity. The person who broke your life gets to keep the wreckage of their choices, but you keep the unshakeable strength you built inside that furnace. You are not starting from scratch. You are starting from experience. This is Rebuild & Rise-You belong here. Love you, bye. 🩶 #RebuildAndRise #BetrayalTrauma #HealingJourney #LifeAfterDivorce #TraumaRecovery
20 years, he abandoned us like it was nothing and shamed me for being devastated. I’m not the same person anymore, I don’t trust anyone fully

I wish I had never married him. I fought, defended and gave him chances when he gave my mental health, none. I am bonded beyond the trauma.

To every woman who feels she lost decades of her life, those years weren’t wasted. Sometimes unconditional love means standing on the sidelines until your children are old enough to question the stories they were taught to believe. Truth has a way of finding its way home, even when those who buried it are long gone. I’m rebuilding with my adult children now. We can never reclaim those years, but we can create something more beautiful through truth, healing, and wisdom. Not going backwards, but moving forward without guilt, manipulation, or love that demands performance. Sometimes the greatest act of motherhood is knowing when to step away, heal, and leave the door open. Those years weren’t wasted. They were part of our becoming. ❤️🦋

I wasted 12 years with the wrong man, but in those 12 years I got a degree, a MSc and bought a house so those 12 years weren't wasted they were just harder than they needed to be, thankfully by the time I bought my house I knew I was wasting my years and own my house 100% he is now the one rebuilding his life whilst sleeping in a car and I do not feel bad

I tell everybody that will listen I wasted 20 years. I wasn’t good enough to have kids with. I wasn’t good enough to marry 20 years. I’m too old now I hate myself for it. All I can do is hope that he sees reminders of what he did in everything. I’ll never know.

I was a good wife. Not perfect. Now I’m 50. Too late to find my forever person. I can’t imagine what my life could’ve been like with a genuine, mentally healthy, reciprocal caring partner. So thankful for my children. But they’re hurt and confused too. Even asking “why didn’t you leave the first time.”

But, I did waste precious time. Even though you are right, in some way I did let go professional opportunities that if I had taken, things would’ve been different.

I did NOT waste my life. I raised two wonderful young men in a family they needed and I would NEVER change anything about it but the hurt I endured. I'm proud of myself and being the best mom and wife I could possibly be. I'm not ashamed. I'm not s fool. I'm s fighter and a loving mom.

That’s where I live now, I should have shown her the door way early. But I saw everything but kept hanging in, kept hoping and expecting and all. Still happy though that I marshalled the courage to put an end to the disrespect and betrayal

37 years here. He left in January and I’m still working my way through the thoughts that arise regarding the neglect I endured.
