@jessicaa_0809: I had to cross the border just to see my dad after returning home from a long deployment attached to the USS Abraham Lincoln. Words cannot begin to describe how painful this has been for me and my family. It’s a kind of heartbreak I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Despite the pain, I will continue to fight for my dad and for the justice he deserves. Deep in my heart, I hold on to the belief that one day he will come home. I believe there is someone out there who will hear our story, help us, and bring our family one step closer to being reunited. My story is not unlike the stories of so many other families who have been torn apart by ICE. My heart aches for every parent, child, and loved one who has had to endure this kind of separation and pain. No family should have to go through this. Through it all, I continue to pray, to hope, and to have faith. I believe God is with us, that He hears our prayers, and that even in our darkest moments, we are not forgotten. I will never stop fighting for my dad, and I will never stop believing that one day, we will be reunited.
