The fact that people are arguing against the author’s casting choices as if she didn’t create these characters in the first place

He is Mediterranean North African. And the minute someone suggested him, I immediately saw it. AND it is the best casting, they're perfect.

Xaden is mixed. Half Navarian half Tyrish. So yeah Emilio is exactly what I pictured.

I saw a video like that !! I was like he is literally Moroccan ? And the girl that made the video was fighting in the comments because she thought Xaden was black in the books 😀

people wanting the height difference to be exactly as it is in the books are also giving fetish. he's taller, who the fuck cares if it's the EXACT height difference??

Nga-n Of Your Business :
As someone who ain’t even read the book, the way booktok is crashing out over the height difference got me wondering if the book was just a story about two people walking around staring up/down at each other making reference to their height difference 2) they’re on some kind of inappropriate age gap kink with one partner being overtly child like. Either way… it’s weird.

might be a stupid question but is the bottom picture of the actress they cast as Violet? Ive seen ones but she had blonde hair, and it was hard for me to picture her with the dark hair and sliver ends? if it is OMG that is how i picture Violet, and Emilo (sorry if I spelt it wrong) I think is a great choice for Xaden. I haven't heard of either of them and if im wrong again im excited that they cast unknown actors and actresses

also the book height difference wont translate to screen unless we're ok with nothing but far shots cause they wont fit in frame together at a 14 inch difference

but Xaden is mixed in the books too. half tyrish and half navarian. He's exactly what I would picture. I looked at him and said yup he gives Rebel vibes ready to start war.
