I agree with him. You’re offering him $75-$85,000 from what I can gather on a house that’s listed for 120 something. Just because he bought it off of you and you’re trying to get the agents commission paid, doesn’t mean that the seller is going to sell for significantly less just because you say so. You’re a wholesaler so you’re gonna turn around and sell it to somebody else at the actual value of 120. You telling the agent that you’re trying to get us commission paid is actually pretty scummy because that would put the agent in a position to act unethically which is illegal. Can you imagine if he went back to his seller and try to convince him to sell his property for that low because you said so? That would be insane. I get calls from wholesalers like this all the time and I act the same way towards you guys. Bring a list price that’s closer to the value and let’s talk. If not, you’re wasting everybody’s time.

If Richard really was the person who sold this owner that house, then he would already have a connection. He could call him up or what have you because he’s the one who orchestrate sales within his wholesale network. This is just a script, written stage play, and his buddy is probably the unknown real estate agent on the other end of the phone call.
