She’s definitely a dove who was released for an event! It’s so sad, they often die if people don’t intervene. Thank you for helping her! The Wild Bird Fund has ample experience with dove releases, they’ll be great for her to land 🥰

Great work!! If this happens again it's ok to put them in a box with some paper towels on the bottom. Airholes. A short glass of water, unsalted sunflower seeds or green split peas for snacks. This was so kind of you 💗

soo cute she looks exactly like my white homing pigeon! funeral/wedding release pigeons are raised to be scared of people and fly home hungry for food, i'm betting gotta be someones pet with how super friendly. even a tamer pigeon would fly away with a slow towel grab like that
