@cherry.adhd: Anyone else who has AuDHD and does that? I know it’s not clear cut and not 100% how it works but I genuinely always feel so excited when I make plans and then when it comes to actually doing said plans, I dread them if I know that I’ll be feeling burnt out or overstimulated by the end of them again. Don’t get me wrong, I also almost always feel fuelled and happy and glad I’ve done said plans but it also unfortunately almost always comes at a price. It often feels like this tug of war between my adhd and my autism. My adhd wants me to experience new things, put myself out there, experience excitement and genuinely makes me feel so happy and alive and then my autism wants me to stay within routines, protect me from overstimulation and burn out and keep me content within what’s familiar. I find if I give into one side for too long I almost always end up feeling low in one way or another. If I strike a balance it’s perfect. But finding and then striking that balance are two entirely different matters… #adhd #autism #audhd #actuallyautistic #neurospicy
