I don't agree with banning guns in a country that is already loaded with them. People would already have access to them if they became illegal, and the ones that would commit crimes with them would still commit them

Any time someone brings up the mental health argument, I like to bring up the "well regulated" part of the second amendment. Sensible and even heavy regulation of guns would still be constitutional. We do also need better mental healthcare, though (and strict licenses to own guns, preferably with psych evals).
