@robertwilke74: This medley brings together two of my father’s favourite pieces: Die Kalfie Wals and Johann Strauss II’s The Blue Danube. Die Kalfie Wals holds especially precious memories for me. Both my father and my late grandmother loved playing it on the piano. My grandmother was also a brilliant accordion player, and music was a very special part of her life. Performing these pieces on my own Blüthner baby grand brought back many wonderful memories.
