I thought I was ready. I started talking to it a couple guys and it seems that they’re all only looking for one thing and I’m not ready to do the one night stand BS. I’m not 20. I’m getting out of the 30 year marriage dating world definitely scares the shit out of me. I guess it’s not the same for us 50 something-year-old plus I want a guy to stand beside me not behind me now definitely not looking for somebody to control me like one of the guys wanted to do. I didn’t leave a 30 year relationship of a controlling narcissist to get into another one. That’s for sure. Best of luck to you, my friend.

I have been divorced for 4 years. I am trying to wait until my 2 teens are graduated. I have tried dating and it is rough out there with being in my 40's, kids, etc.. The apps are not it. Just my take. Life is definitely more peaceful single.

I was married for 19 years divorce was finalized in 2019. We are fine around each other. We did great at co-parenting. Our kids are all adults now. I dated a guy I went to school with for years after and it didn’t work out. Eventually I might date again if the right person comes along but not looking.

My divorce was finalized march 3 of this year as well. We had been apart since 2024. To be honest because of that relationship I am terrified of dating these days. Idk. I want to but scared and do t want to go through heartbreak again.

I hear in your words you have healed.You and your ex are communicating and accepting letting go and leave the marriage and continuing to be corgal. To date is allowing you know you are enough and you need to know when your ready. I ask why does anyone just need to be a date ,a partner or a one person. I rather be a friend and just do things together as two people that just need a person for company thats all.
