Along the distant horizon, numerous dark, almost black objects appeared to be scattered across the surface of the water. They weren’t all identical. Some appeared as small, dense, horizontal shapes, while others looked larger or more irregular. What caught my attention was that they didn’t appear all at once. As I continued watching, additional dark formations seemed to materialize in areas of the horizon where I hadn’t noticed anything moments earlier. Then something even stranger happened. I began seeing unusual vertical formations rising above the horizon, almost like narrow, elongated columns or dark upright structures. These appeared to shift, move, change shape, and sometimes become less distinct before other formations appeared nearby. There seemed to be multiple layers of activity, with dark objects near the waterline and taller, shifting shapes extending upward into the atmosphere. I watched this unfold for approximately 30 minutes, trying to understand the relationship between the objects, the water, and the atmospheric conditions. The sheer number of formations, their changing appearances, and the unusual vertical movement made the entire scene particularly fascinating. I couldn’t determine their actual distance, size, or physical nature from where I stood. I’ve been studying Wilhelm Reich’s writings on atmospheric phenomena and have also observed unusual lights over the ocean on other nights, so this immediately caught my attention.
