I’ve been in this game 26 years. You have to evolve to the apps. Your going to get tired of clients calling texting you all hours of the day. Calling and texting asking what time their appointment is. If your good they will book on the app.

Honestly, it’s really not that hard people just like to make it complicated honestly, my barber I book an appointment online. I choose him what date what time and boom done we don’t have to keep going back-and-forth. When can he fit me in?

I don't know who you're dealing with. But that is not true. The mom's mainly, the women love being able to book their schedule is so busy. They don't have time to be calling. You seeing what's available or just popping up at the shop, hoping that they get the spotty in, and it might be a Wednesday. And we might be jumping with walk ends that day. But if you got to a spot, then you come in, I might tell you, hey, give me 56 minutes. I got you next for your spot. You 6 minutes, passion spot, you still get me in. I know. I can cut little buddy hell in a good amount of time. Because it sits still, he jumped in the chill. I give him his blessed cut, and we go. So I have no earthly idea how you have your clientele, set up. But my love it, they love it

I give my website out but most people book with me when they’re done with their appointments. If they don’t want to sign into the app they can go on and see my open times and text me the day and time they want and I’ll get them in when I have time to do so. But I also warn them that it could fill in before that happens so if they have a back up date that works is good to know too. I’m a one person shop so I won’t be on my phone if I have a client in my chair.

I try to push the app I got a few I will do it for but it’s getting aggy I got people one text me Friday night at 11pm to come on a off day and a mom texting me Sunday night and rescheduled it twice I’ll do it but it’s bout to be a inconvenience fee applied it’s getting ridiculous to thing you have that much access to me but I am looking Into different platforms software that don’t require the accounts and apps but same hand these same people can’t all these useless apps that require accounts on they phone

understandable but this only applies to barbers just starting out. Once you’ve built a foundation and have a targeted audience then you become more structured & booking apps help with that 💯 Majority of the time a text appt is not a reliable appt. They come and go. Personally I give my personal # to my regulars only and they still don’t have a problem using the app. I think it’s just a preference thing. Some clients don’t like the accountability that comes with booking through an app and some barbers are scared of losing clients that aren’t reliable to begin with 🤷🏽

Busy barbers is not holding a phone all day, neither are we stopping services for texts, and those of us who has the same busy lives, soccer moms etc we pay the app to be our secretary.Texts and calls are for chaotic ppl (keep it organized)

Respectfully that’s not it sir..Appointments make your workload more manageable..That’s laziness..calling or texting is a distraction..and you my guy are a barber and you saying foolishness..Get out your own way of thinking sir..Who has time to respond to the phone constantly when you have a client in your chair.Thats when they leave..Unprofessional at its finest..This is just a business perspective so refrain from getting in your feelings in what I just said.
