@rachel_clausing: 🚔 What does it mean when a police officer says, “Take her into custody and long-form her”? In police terminology, taking someone into custody means placing them under arrest, while long-forming typically refers to completing the full arrest report and documentation. Not every arrest is handled with a simple citation. Sometimes officers must complete detailed paperwork documenting probable cause, evidence, statements, and the circumstances surrounding the arrest. Have you ever heard an officer use the term LONG-FORM? Did you know what it meant? #Police #policeofficersoftiktok #PoliceArrest #LawEnforcement #cops
To me a long form was typing up an actual complaint instead of using a ticket complaint (short form).

Deputy white :
For my department long forum is when you don’t arrest them right then but you get all your paperwork done and turn it in to the attorney office and then get a warrant and arrest them later. Like if you don’t have enough evidence then to arrest them or small amount of drugs.

I've seen on TV that some cops touch the cars they pull over as they are walking up to put their fingerprints on the car. Does this really happen?
