@katjamullerajtak: Release day 💙🧬 One of the few concrete stretches still connected to the LA River. Most of the river was rewilded in the late ’20s and early ’30s, but sections like this can still use a little help. These little guys were designed to help filter the water and support a healthier ecosystem. They’re derived from an organism discovered in the deepest lake on Earth, with bioluminescence added as a genetic marker so modified populations can be easily identified in the wild.
