Beautiful girls with genuine hearts often have the hardest time finding genuine friendships. Some people only want to get close to you because they find you attractive, admire your appearance, and deep down, wish they could be you. I had to learn this the hard way. I’ve always stayed in my own lane, been a homebody, minded my business, and been nothing but a genuine, loyal friend. Yet somehow, people still carried animosity toward me simply because of the face I was born with. They’ll take advantage of your pure heart while secretly resenting you for something you never asked for. And before anyone mistakes this for conceit, it’s not. It’s simply my lived experience and the genuine truth. I never thought I was better than anyone, but unfortunately, some people treated me like competition when all I ever wanted was genuine friendship.
